Frequently Asked Questions
What makes dental care at Richardson Dentistry different?
Richardson Dentistry focuses on personalized, patient-centric dental care rather than a one-size-fits-all experience. The team takes time to ask questions, understand each patient’s goals and comfort level, and tailor the dental experience accordingly. Their approach considers the patient’s smile, oral health, function, overall wellbeing, and long-term relationship with the practice.
How does Richardson Dentistry personalize the patient experience?
Richardson Dentistry personalizes care by getting to know each patient, asking questions, and understanding what the individual wants from both treatment and the dental experience. The team considers personal goals and comfort levels when tailoring care, with the goal of helping patients feel comfortable and at home throughout their visits.
Why are beauty, function, and health considered together in dentistry?
Richardson Dentistry believes beauty, function, and health go hand in hand. A smile should not only look the way a patient wants it to look, but also function properly and support oral health. This philosophy helps the team consider the complete smile rather than treating appearance and function as separate priorities.
How does Richardson Dentistry approach smile makeovers?
Richardson Dentistry approaches smile makeovers by considering each patient’s individual goals along with beauty, function, and health. The team finds smile transformations especially rewarding, but emphasizes that appearance is only one part of the picture. Treatment is personalized around what the patient wants while considering how the smile functions.
Does Richardson Dentistry consider overall health when providing dental care?
Yes. Richardson Dentistry describes the mouth as a gateway to the rest of the body and considers a patient’s overall wellbeing as part of its approach to dentistry. The practice emphasizes that oral health should not be viewed in isolation and incorporates this philosophy into its patient-centric approach to care.

A Welcoming, Personalized Dental Experience
It felt welcoming, I guess is the best word. You could tell that there was concern that was also with his staff, and it was a good feeling. I appreciated that.
I think what’s different about Richardson Dentistry is that we are a practice that really takes the patient’s whole wellbeing into mind. Obviously, we thrive on doing smile makeovers, and that’s what brings us the most joy. It’s very rewarding to see the difference that makes for our patients. But just as important is overall health and how the mouth is connected to the body.
Care Tailored to Each Patient
I think what we do a really good job of, in terms of going above and beyond for our patients, is that we really try to customize and tailor each experience. It’s definitely not one size fits all here in terms of what patients want and what they’re looking for from a comfort level.
We really take time to get to know the patients, ask a lot of questions, and tailor their dental experience so that they feel comfortable and at home.
Beauty, Function, and Health
Beauty, function, and health essentially all go hand in hand. One is not separate from the other. You cannot have a pretty smile that doesn’t work for you. A lot of our patients may have a smile that works but do not like the way they look.
If you tie all of that together, the most important part is that your mouth is a gateway to the rest of your body.
The Reward of Transforming a Smile
It’s so rewarding. They’re smiling. They want to show you their teeth. It’s just the best feeling in the world.
Everything here was done purposefully. The design of the practice was done purposefully. Our continuing education that we’ve done over the years is very purposeful toward a patient-centric practice, where we’re trying to get to know people and figure out what really drives them, what they’re looking for, and what will make their life better.
Building Long-Term Patient Relationships
Patients work hard to get to that point, and they deserve it. Praise is definitely a given when we get successful outcomes on patients. When they go home, you can see it written all over their face as they’re walking out.
I want long-term relationships, so I’m going to stand behind my work. That’s a big thing, having the confidence to tell a patient that.
